Check Valves-ANSI
A swing check valve ensures unidirectional flow in a pipeline. Fluid pressure pushes the disc against the seat, providing reliable backflow protection. For enhanced operation, a lever with a weight can be installed to assist the closing mechanism.
Key Characteristics of Check Valves
Check valves are self-acting, non-return valves that allow fluid to flow in one direction only, reliably avoiding backflow without requiring external control. Available in various designs -including swing, piston, or dual-plate types- these valves can be installed both horizontally and vertically, covering nominal sizes up to DN 900.
Automatic backflow prevention
All valve types close automatically when fluid pressure drops or backflow occurs, ensuring reliable protection.
Optimized flow (swing type)
The unguided disc allows full, unobstructed flow, minimizing pressure losses and making it ideal for high-flow applications.
Precise control under high pressure (piston type)
Guided piston or ball discs provide accurate seating and reliable performance under high pressures and flow rates, offering robust and durable operation.

Industry - Check Valves (Spring Loaded)
A spring-loaded check valve closes automatically when pressure falls below a defined level and reopens with the support of its internal spring. It operates completely autonomously.
It can be installed horizontally or vertically and can be fitted with a control plug for more precise flow regulation. Nominal sizes range from ½” to 12”, with flanged or welded ends according to ASME standards. Upon request, Inconel materials and heavy-duty lugs for larger sizes are also available.

Industry - Check Valves (Dual Plate)
To prevent backflow in pipelines, a disc is positioned between two flanges, allowing flow in only one direction. This dual plate check valve requires no manual operation or adjustments, as it functions entirely automatically.
A key advantage is its low opening pressure. The valve opens easily with the aid of a spring, which is also available in Inconel. When the pressure decreases, the valve closes automatically. The dual plate check valve must be installed horizontally in the pipeline. An arrow on the valve indicates the correct flow direction.
